Nature of the Site

Dickenson County Released Inmates is an independent reference resource. It is not part of a sheriff's office, court, jail, corrections department, parole or probation office, federal agency, or immigration authority. The site does not maintain official custody or release records. It cannot confirm whether someone is confined, order a release, alter an agency file, submit a legal filing, or act for a government office.

Its content points visitors toward resources maintained by SWVRJA, Virginia courts, VADOC, federal or immigration agencies, and other record custodians. Some search functions may also connect a visitor with an outside research provider. Those links and tools are aids for locating information, not official determinations about any person.

Acceptable Use Rules

• Use the site only in ways allowed by applicable local, state, and federal law.
• Do not use information found here to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone.
• Do not use site content to make employment, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decisions.
